Since our founders, traditions have been followed. One of our Community Service events is throwing a Tamale sale which we use the money made to buy toys for a toy drive. For the Toy Drive, we go out to a local elementary school in the Hayward Unified School District and we hand them out to the kids. Not everybody is able to have a toy for Christmas, and here at Tau Chapter we try to solve that.

Moving over to the field of Academics, we constantly have had brothers who stood out. Recently, we had brothers make it onto the Deans Honor List, our most recent brother being Ricardo Reynoso (Zeta Class X) and Christian Glass (Zeta Class VI). We also have had brothers be well known student leaders like Parker Rugeley (Beta Class I) who was part of the campus Associated Student Inc. Tau Chapter has never failed in getting out there.

From community service events to academics, we always find a way to have a little fun. One of our most known events is our Cinco De Mayo event where we bring out a live Banda and invite 93.3 La Raza, a local hispanic radio station, and also contract a catering restaurant that feeds over 500 students tacos along with other side dishes that collaborating organizations bring for the students.

We have also hosted a Youth Leadership Conference where we invite over 100 Puente Students from the local high schools and promote higher education by bringing guest speakers along with giving them a tour of our beautiful campus. These students are also offered a college panel where they get to ask current students, alumni, and campus faculty about the college life. Both of these events have earned us multiple awards from the campus.
