The Rho Chapter at the University of Southern California (USC) was awarded the 2017 chapter of the year at this year’s National Conference at Sacramento State Mu Chapter. The Rho chapter has shown exemplary commitment in the areas of service and academics. They successfully raised their cumulative chapter GPA from a 2.61 in Spring 2015 to a 3.11 currently. The time and dedication to their redevelopment placed RHO chapter as Academic Chapter of the Year and Most Improved Chapter of the Year for 2015-2016 National Conference. One of their biggest accomplishments for the last academic year was being named Fraternity of the Year within the Multicultural Greek Council at USC. The relationships they have established with other organizations on campus have been at the core of their success. They continue to maintain relationships by being active executive board members on the Multicultural Greek Council, the Latino/a Graduate Student Association and representatives on the Latino/a Student Assembly. The chapter has also taken initiative to develop relationships with their surrounding chapters. Throughout the year they have actively supported Delta, Iota, Pi, Upsilon, and Xi chapters by participating in fundraisers, going to prospect meetings, and co-hosting socials to reinforce the importance of brotherhood. In conclusion, The Rho Chapter of Gamma Zeta Alpha Fraternity, Inc. is a dynamic and exceptional group of gentlemen with an aim to cultivate leaders and strengthen their community. They have a strong record of community service, academic achievement. We congratulate the Rho Chapter on their success as they earned the award of Chapter of the Year.
